* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, highest across northwestern portions of the advisory area. Ice accumulations up to a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...La Salle, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake IL, and Northern Cook Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. Blowing snow will cause sharply reduced visibilities, particularly in open areas. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage and Will and northwest Indiana, including the following county, Lake IN. * WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 857 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported flooded roads and viaducts in Chicago. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Area creeks and streams are also near or at bankfull. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond, Gary, Evanston, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des Plaines, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst, Lombard and Ohare Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
